The World Future Verse (WFV) conference in Bled, organised by the Ljubljana Technology Park in cooperation with MIPRO and other partners as part of the European Blockchain Week 2022 was successfully held.

The conference discussed the most current topics: Metaverse, NFT, Internet 3.0 and Blockchain technologies, which are also technologies for successful business in the future and understanding marketing and new business opportunities.

The World Future Verse Conference brought together more than 400 participants, including executives and creative visionaries from various industries. At one of the round tables, Prof. Karolj Skala presented the DAP project on the application of Blockchain technology for a new way of valorizing and reviewing scientific papers. The EU and Croatia are in the phase of important strategic determinations and realization of the program for reconstruction and recovery. In this light, the acquisition and application of new technologies have an important role. The creation of a new economy and market prosperity is only possible through quick and high-quality adaptations of new platforms and paradigms.
 

Economic growth so far has been related to the consumption of natural resources as if they were unlimited. The consequence of this is the current crisis of natural (primary) resources (sources) with the threat of a shortage of raw materials and increasing prices. Today, more and more societies/countries and economists are turning to other economic models, according to which it is possible to create without destroying the environment. There is a growing need for a transition to a green (sustainable) economy through advanced resource management, the use of economic instruments that favor environmental protection, supporting innovative projects, implementing a more effective energy, water and waste management policy and investing efforts in the development of sustainable consumption and production. Such thematic activities represent the aspiration of the 46^th MIPRO 2023 convention in accordance with the slogan in the title.

MIPRO conventions follow many traditions. One of them is the awarding best papers and giving recognition to individuals for their support to the MIPRO society.

MIPRO respected that tradition this year as well. At the opening ceremony, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in the Congress Hall of the Grand Hotel Adriatic and in a live stream via the YouTube platform, there were announced three best papers and awarded three Friend of MIPRO awards,  awards to prominent persons and institution for a significant contribution to the association and a special Golden award.

This year's 271 scientific and professional papers that have met IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements have been published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

IEEE Xplore provides web access to more than five-million full-text documents from some of the world's most highly-cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics.

MIPRO program points to the fact that ICT technology plays an important role in shaping society and life today. According to the new EU guidelines "European Twin for Green and Digital Transformation", the application of advanced technologies is a support for transition processes. These principles have been incorporated into the new Horizon Europe Framework Program, which now includes a technology component in Digital Europe.

The introduction and application of new technologies plays an important role in the implementation of the Reconstruction and Recovery Program. The creation of a new economy and market prosperity is only possible with rapid and high-quality adaptation to new paradigms and platforms.
So far, economic growth has not been conditioned by limiting the consumption of natural resources. The consequence is the current crisis of natural (primary) resources (sources) with the danger of shortage of raw materials and rising prices. Today, more and more countries are following the recommendations of respected economists and turning to new economic models that develop and create a protective environment. There is a need to move to a green economy - through advanced resource management, the use of economic instruments conducive to environmental protection, the support of innovative projects, the implementation of effective energy, water and waste management policies, and efforts to develop sustainable consumption and production. These activities represent the pursuit of smart and green transformation, and therefore the theme of this year's Smart and Green Digital Ecosystems is: the need for the nowadays and future security.

Accepted and presented papers at the 44th International ICT Convention MIPRO 2021 have been submitted for inclusion to the IEEE Xplore database. These are 321 papers of 816 authors from 30 countries in the world.

IEEE Xplore is the largest technical sciences database and covers one third of papers in electrical engineering and computing. There are over three million papers in the database.

Papers in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library are indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), Web of Science, ProQuest, IET databases and selectively in Compendex.

Since 2010, MIPRO has published 3,194 papers in the IEEE Xplore database with more than 10,000 authors.
