MIPRO Robotics 2026 – Robotics and Autonomous Systems in Zadar from 9 to 12 September

MIPRO Croatian Society and the University of Zadar are organizing the 5th Robotics Conference – MIPRO Robotics 2026 in Zadar from 9 to 12 September 2026. It is a unique event that combines scientific and professional discussions on the latest developments in robotics with practical demonstrations of technologies in a real-world environment.
Over four days, MIPRO Robotics 2026 will bring together researchers, engineers, experts, scientists, industry representatives and development teams working in the fields of robotics, autonomous systems and unmanned platforms. The aim of the conference is to advance communication, cooperation and technological development in the field of robotics and drones in the era of Industry 5.0, while connecting the scientific community, business sector, public sector and end users through the exchange of knowledge, experience and examples of good practice, as well as by encouraging the development of new projects and collaborations.
The MIPRO Robotics 2026 program will comprise three interconnected components:
- the “Robotics Technologies and Applications / RTA” conference, dedicated to the scientific and professional aspects of the development and application of robotic technologies;
- the special “Drones for Safety and Purpose / RTA-DRONES” section, focused on the application of drones and unmanned systems in various fields;
- the Robot-Drone Demo Convoy, a demonstration and promotional event presenting robotic and autonomous technologies in real operational conditions.
The conference program, including the RTA conference and the RTA-DRONES special section, will provide an opportunity to exchange the latest scientific and professional knowledge, experiences and research results, as well as to connect participants from academia and industry through scientific and professional papers.
The quality and scope of the program are further highlighted by the participation of five invited speakers from academia and industry:
Their presentations will cover topics including connecting academic excellence with industry needs, the development of autonomous robotics, the creation of a European drone ecosystem, research and development of autonomous robotic systems, as well as new trends and applications of autonomous robotic systems in industry.
A special highlight of the event is the Robot-Drone Demo Convoy, which will take place on Saturday, 12 September, along the Zadar – Kukljica – Zadar route, in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb (FER), the MARBLE Centre of Excellence and Uskok Sailing Club. During the convoy, underwater, surface and aerial robots, as well as cooperative autonomous systems, will be demonstrated in real operational conditions. The demonstrations will involve representatives of academia, industry, and the defence and security sector.
The Robot-Drone Demo Convoy is designed as an opportunity to directly showcase the capabilities of modern robotic and autonomous technologies, while also connecting the various stakeholders involved in their development, application and further technological advancement.
