NESUS COST 1305 Action with the support of Rudjer Boskovic Institute [http://www.irb.hr/], Centre for Informatics and Computing (as a host organizer), from 22-25 January, 2018 in Zagreb, Croatia, is organizing the 3rd NESUS Winter school & PhD symposium on "Data Science and Heterogeneous Computing".

The 41^st International ICT Convention MIPRO 2018 is traditionally dedicated to information and communication technology, electronics, microelectronics, renewable energy sources, ecology along with a new and high technologies in general. We are convinced that MIPRO 2018 will attract more than a thousand participants from commerce, science, education, state and local administration, government and local self-government from Croatia and abroad.

You are invited to submit your scientific, professional and reviewed papers for one of our conferences. It can be an opportunity to present results of your research and professional work. Scientific interns and students attending graduate study programs are invited and encouraged to submit their papers. The presentations may contain results of scientific research, development of new products and services including results obtained in doctoral and masters’ theses. We also welcome papers with descriptions of technical, software, hardware and other solutions as well as papers which show the use of nanotechnology, ecology and renewable energy sources. Besides, there are also expected papers of experts in the field of education and education technologies. We invite chairs of european and other projects on science, research, information, technology to present their achievements and experiences. Furthermore, we would like to point out the papers which reflect on programs as a result of european cooperation. MIPRO 2018 is a technological convention opened to all of those who seek for a technological change.

Apart from the conferences there are organized seminars of lifelong learning, round tables, panels, debates, workshops and a traditional exhibition of ICT, electronic and microelectronic products, services and technical solutions. Producers of such equipment, products and services are invited  to present themselves and their products.

We are opened to accept any suggestions and ideas which could improve and widen the scope of our conference. Please contact us at mipro@mipro.hr and we'll discuss your proposals.

Within the framework of the European research project SESAME Net, coordinated by Ruđer Bošković Institute from Zagreb (MIPRO’s collective member), a network of supercomputer centres from across Europe has developed “HPC4SME Assessment Tool”, a tool to enable companies to assess their own potential for the use of supercomputer simulations.

Thanks to all of those who have submitted an abstract to the 40^th Jubilee MIPRO 2017 Convention. For those who were not able to hit the January 9^th deadline, we have extended it to Monday, January 23^rd.
In the meantime, the acceptance process will be in progress and we would appreciate receiving your abstracts as early as possible.

In the framework of the 39th International conference MIPRO 2016, which will be held from 30th May to 3rd June in Opatija, „HPC (High Performance Computing) for SME Business Advancement Forum“ will be organized as a part of MIPRO / PRIDE - Project Information and Dissemination Event 2016 on June 1st 2016. The Forum, dedicated to promoting access to computational expertise anywhere in Europe, aims to solve some of the main challenges faced by SMEs in efforts to advance their business.

SCPE Journal Published a Special Issue with papers from DC VIS Conference on MIPRO 2015.

Professor Jörg Schulze will present his invited paper, „(Si)GeSn Nanostructures for Optoelectronic Device Applications“ at MEET conference, on Thursday, June 2, at 9.00 am, Bellavista Hall, Grand hotel Adriatic.

The lecture on topic „High Performance Computing for Small And Medium Enterprises“ will be held on Monday, 25th of April 2016 from 9h-13h, in the Chamber of Commerce hall, Roosevelt Square 2, Zagreb.

The newly founded European networkSESAME Net -Supercomputing Expertise for Small And Medium Enterprises-and the corresponding projectof the same name have been kicked off. SESAME Net, whose partner is Institute Ruđer Bošković and Professor Karolj Skala, Ph.D. as a national coordinator, boosts the usage of high performance computing-technology by small and medium-sized enterprises.

The full-paper submission deadline for 39^th International ICT Convention MIPRO 2016 has been extended. All authors who have not yet submitted their manuscripts will be able to submit up to Monday, 22 February 2016.
