This year, almost at the same time as the 49th MIPRO Conference was taking place, we suddenly lost our dear colleague Dr. Sc. Stjepan Golubić, long-standing Chair of the Telecommunications and Information Conference.
He had held this position since 2004, dedicating himself to the development of the symposium and to keeping its topics aligned with current developments and the needs of the profession. He was an active member of the MIPRO leadership team, always conscientious, responsible, and ready to help. His quiet dedication, collegiality, and warm smile will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
Stjepan Golubić had been a member of the MIPRO Presidency since 2003, a member of the Organizing Committee from 1993 to 2003, and a member of the Program Committee since 1993. He contributed numerous scientific and professional papers to MIPRO conferences in the fields of microelectronics, telecommunications, quality, and process development.

The 50th anniversary of MIPRO calls for a special edition – one that celebrates five decades of bringing together science, technology and industry while creating new opportunities for ideas, innovation and collaboration.

To mark this Golden Jubilee, we want to go one step further and shape a program that goes beyond traditional formats. We invite our partners, colleagues and new contributors to help us create an inspiring and memorable anniversary experience.

MIPRO and the University of Zadar are organizing an expert workshop dedicated to the latest advancements in robotics, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and their applications in industry, science, security, and environmental protection.
 

Another successful International MIPRO Convention has come to a close. At this year's 49th edition, more than 60% of the paper authors attended in person, while a large number of participants followed the remaining programme online. Overall, the convention brought together more than 1,500 participants.

A total of 408 papers were accepted for MIPRO 2026, authored by 1,096 researchers from 53 countries across six continents. This represents the second-highest number of accepted papers in MIPRO's history, despite the implementation of even more rigorous peer-review criteria. 

This year's 375 scientific and professional papers that have met IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements have been published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. We congratulate all the authors for their success in the hope of further successful cooperation!
 

The MIPRO Annual ICT Award, "Tesla's Beacon of Knowledge", honored individuals whose pioneering achievements had made outstanding contributions to the advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), science, and innovation. Inspired by the legacy of Nikola Tesla, the award recognized visionary leadership, scientific excellence, and technological breakthroughs that shape the future of society.
