MIPRO 2020 Best Paper Awards, Friend of MIPRO and Prominent Person Charters

The MIPRO 2020 International Hybrid Convention follows many traditions. One of them is the awarding best papers and giving recognition to individuals for their work in the MIPRO society.

MIPRO respected that tradition this year as well, in a modified hybrid form, but retaining all the most important elements. At the opening ceremony, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in the Congress Hall of the Grand Hotel Adriatic and for the first time in a live stream via the YouTube platform, the President of the Program Committee, Academician Karolj Skala, announced the three best papers, one student paper, awarded one Friend of MIPRO award and two awards to prominent individuals for significant contribution to the association.

MIPRO 2020 - Advanced physical and virtual, Hybrid Convention

Taking into account the threat from the COVID-19 pandemic MIPRO 2020 will be organized as a Hybrid Convention. This means that the implementation of all program elements is carried out physically and virtually (online), depending on the pandemic situation and the possibilities and requirements of the participants. MIPRO will ensure secure physical conditions and availability to virtual presence, through advanced communications, collaboration and interaction on hybrid conference platform that will ensure:

  • obtaining sufficient information for participants regarding all relevant details of the event (access, programs and changes in static and dynamic form),
  • the secure and quality transmission with interactive possibilities such as Q&A and voting,
  • creating community in the form of augmented reality using modern ICT technological possibilities.

The final decision about program details of the MIPRO 2020 hybrid convention will be given depending on the pandemic situation, the standpoints of the conference chairs and the possibilities of the authors and other conference participants. A detailed program will be available here in the second half of September. It will include information about time slots and in what way will each event and presentation be held.
