Successful MIPRO 2025
Another MIPRO was successfully held. At this year's convention, the 48th in a row, more than 60% of authors, and a large number of participants in other program contents were physically present.

This year's MIPRO was very successful with 407 accepted papers from 1070 authors from 46 countries of the world (6 continents). This is the second-highest number of papers, despite the increased level of review criteria. Presented papers in English will be sent for publication in IEEE Xplore Digital Library, the largest database in technical sciences, which covers one-third of papers in electrical engineering and computer science (contains over three million papers).

The central event of the convention was the formal opening held on Wednesday in the Congress Hall of the Grand Hotel Adriatic.
AI was once again used for translation into all EU languages as part of the opening ceremony.
For the third year in a row, the MIPRO Annual ICT Award was presented for significant contributions to the development of ICT in science, technology or the economy. This year, the award was presented in 3 categories. In the individual category, the award went to Branimir Hackenberger Kutuzović for developing the CADAPTI software platform that uses predictive artificial intelligence models to optimize mosquito population control. In the projects category, the award went to the Center of Excellence in Maritime Robotics and Technologies for a Sustainable Blue Economy (CoE Marble), and in the economy category, the award went to the Novska Gaming Industry Center for its pioneering approach in creating a unique ecosystem in the gaming industry. Also, as part of this year's conference, a special award was presented to Nobel laureate Ferenc Krausz. On that occasion, he accepted last year's prestigious award in the category out of competition for an exceptional global result and contribution to global science.
In addition to these awards, certificates were awarded to distinguished individuals (Mario Konecki, Zorislav Šojat, Viktor Bojović) and prizes for the three best papers.
As part of the opening ceremony of the conference, a plenary lecture by Nobel laureate Prof. Ferenc Krausz was held on the topic SUB-ATOMIC MOTIONS - From Capturing Electrons to Speeding up Signal Processing.
The opening was concluded by a distinguished lecture by Matjaž Gams on the topic Superintelligence is Coming – How to Upgrade Our Societies NOW?

The entire MIPRO 2025 program consisted of 17 conferences, a plenary lecture, a keynote lecture, 2 forums, 2 tutorials, 2 panels, a workshop, 6 invited lectures, 5 presentations and an exhibition of information and communication equipment, services, and technologies.
Most of the events were held hybridly, and could be followed on 9 ZOOM channels. More than a thousand participants attended the convention.
