New Mega Data Center that could change Croatia’s Digital Landscape
 
  

An ambitious project announced for the construction of an AI innovation and data center called “Pantheon”, one of the largest planned data centers in Europe, which could position Croatia among important European centers for artificial intelligence and high-performance computingThe planned center will have a total capacity of 1 GW and infrastructure exceeding today’s Tier 4 reliability standard. The project includes the construction of new substations, transmission lines, optical networks, and renewable energy sources, including a large solar power plant to supply the center.

The Pantheon project represents a combination of digital infrastructure, energy, and artificial intelligence, and it is expected to create thousands of new jobs during construction and operation while stimulating the development of the domestic IT and technology industry. Construction is planned to begin in 2027, with the center expected to become operational by the end of the decade.
