Ericsson estimates USD 31 trillion 5G consumer market by 2030
The 5G consumer market could be worth USD 31 trillion by 2030 globally, according to the new Harnessing the 5G Consumer Potential report from Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) ConsumerLab. The report estimates that communications service providers (CSPs) could earn USD 3.7 trillion of that total – a figure that could increase further as new adjacent digital services opportunities arise. Moody's upgrades long-term corporate and standalone credit rating of Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d.
Moody's has upgraded Hrvatska elektroprivreda's long-term corporate family rating to Ba1 from Ba2 with stable outlook as well as the standalone credit quality to ba1.
The report stated that the upgrade reflected Moody’s expectation that the company would continue to demonstrate a strong financial profile, building on its solid track record in recent years, and retain its robust credit metrics in the following years. [more]

Nokia, Elisa and Qualcomm achieve 5G speed record in Finland
Nokia, Elisa and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced on 17 November that they have achieved the world’s fastest 5G speeds on a commercial network in Finland by delivering 8 Gbps for the first time serving two 5G mmWave devices connected simultaneously. The fast speed, which was showcased at Elisa’s flagship store in Helsinki, Finland, will support a range of new low-latency, high-bandwidth services, such as high-speed video downloads, mission-critical or virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications. 200th ELEN Electric Car Charger Put into Operation in Split
HEP's network of ELEN car chargers covers the area of all 20 counties and the City of Zagreb, as well as all motorways and other important road routes across Croatia, city centres and tourist destinations, including several islands. Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing introduces three international graduate study programmes starting with 2021-2022 academic year
Alongside the well-established Croatian high school graduates' interest in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing study programmes, there is a considerable number of foreign students who wish to continue their education at that faculty. Students of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb (FER) show a growing interest in mobility
The interest of FER students in student mobility within the Erasmus+ program has been continuously growing every year.
The results of the Erasmus+ Competition for students - study visit for the academic year 2020/2021 for program countries (KA103) demonstrate that FER has been recording a significant increase in outgoing student mobility for several years in a row. As many as 103 outgoing mobilities were approved, which is an increase of almost 20 percent compared to the previous year, and an increase of almost 70 percent compared to the academic year 2018/2019. It is interesting to add that FER is in third place at the level of the University of Zagreb in terms of the number of approved KA103 mobilities for this year. When it comes to countries that are of greatest interest to our students, Spain, Austria, Poland, Germany and Sweden proved to be the most popular. [more]

Ericsson Mobility Report: COVID-19 impact shows networks’ crucial role in society
- 190 million 5G subscriptions forecast by end of 2020; 2.8 billion by the end of 2025
- Digital infrastructure critical to meeting communication needs in times of crisis
- Fixed wireless access (FWA) connections forecast to reach close to 160 million, and account for 25 percent of global mobile network data traffic by end of 2025
Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) expects the global number of 5G subscriptions to top 190 million by the end of 2020 and 2.8 billion by the end of 2025. These forecasts are included in the June 2020 edition of the Ericsson Mobility Report, along with projections for data traffic growth, and regional subscriptions.
The report also takes an incisive look at the role of networks and digital infrastructure in keeping societies running, and families connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. [more]
