Title: Factors Influencing Teachers’ Intention to Use e-Learning Technologies for Teaching After the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Example of Croatian Secondary School Teachers

Abstract: Before the COVID-19 pandemic, acceptance of e-learning technologies for teaching by teachers had been a challenge in secondary schools in many European countries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, all high school teachers used e-learning in their teaching. Since behavioral intent is one of the key factors influencing the actual use of e-learning in teaching, it is necessary to investigate the factors influencing the intention to use e-learning after the COVID-19 pandemic. The object of our research is to examine the factors that influence teachers’ behavioral intention toward using e-learning technologies for teaching after the COVID-19 pandemic in Croatian secondary schools. The  results  of the data  analysis  indicate that  there  is a significant positive  relationship  between  attitude toward e-learning,  educational values, e-learning  self-efficacy and  intention  to  use  e-learning technologies after the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, a significant negative relationship is found between e-learning anxiety and intention. Finally, the results suggest that there is a difference in the evaluation of intention to use e-learning technologies for teaching after the COVID-19 pandemic by secondary teachers in terms of demographic variables. In this presentation, the results of our research will be presented.

Biographies:

Snježana Babić, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer at the Polytechnic of Rijeka and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Informatics at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. She was awarded a PhD degree at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, University of Zagreb for the thesis “The Factors of Teachers' Acceptance of e-Learning and Competence for Its Implementation at Higher Education Institutions”. She is the author and co-author of over 50 scientific and professional papers published in national and international Conference Proceedings and Journals. Her main research fields are: teachers' adoption and acceptance of e-learning, competencies of online teachers, integration of e-learning technologies into teaching process, human-computer interaction.

Sanja Križan Sučić graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Split in 2011. She worked as a teacher of subjects related to economics and is currently employed in the Ministry of Science and Education. She attends part-time graduate study of Information Technology, majoring in Teacher Education at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
