Title: Terahertz Imaging and Early Detection of COVID-19
Duration: 15 min.
Abstract: The research purpose is to bridge the gap in early diagnosis of nCOVID patients – replacing infra-red thermal scanning by Terahertz (THz) –thermograph scanning. The study is focused on to explore the possibility of developing THz-thermographs of infected & non-infected respiratory epithelium cell and to study the contrast image to detect abnormality at early stage (during incubation period of novel corona virus) in asymptomatic population. Also, the research is focused on the development of an AI enabled image processing / analyzing tool to minimize false positive / negative to enhance the level of accuracy.
